F. Paul Wilson

Toastmaster
F. Paul Wilson

Born and raised in New Jersey,  Paul (as he puts it) misspent his youth playing with matches, poring over Uncle Scrooge and E.C. comics, reading Lovecraft, Matheson, Bradbury, and Heinlein, listening to Chuck Berry and Alan Freed on the radio, and watching Soupy Sales and Shock Theatre with Zacherley. He has authored nearly forty books including Jack: Secret Histories the first of a trilogy, aimed at a YA audience in the 9-16 year old range, about the early life of his popular antihero, Repairman Jack. Adult fans are eagerly awaiting these books too.

Paul Wilson is well known to aficionados of the suspense/horror genre. He was on the young adult recommended reading lists of the American Library Association and the New York Public Library, among others and is also listed in the 50th anniversary edition of ‘Who's Who in America’.

Any of these accomplishments would be more than enough reason to have him as a guest at our convention, but it is his erudite and witty way with words in front of the microphone, that made us beg him to be our Toast Master.  Happily he agreed, and we know that everyone will enjoy his comments and his company at the convention.

Releasing Oct/08: in paperback, BLOODLINE, and hardcover, BY THE SWORD  To learn more about Mr. Wilson, please visit his website ~  repairmanjack.com
