A limited number of 4 feet x 4 feet panels are available for displaying artwork at World Horror Convention 2007. These will be assigned on a first-come basis.
Artwork should be of general interest to the horror/dark fantasy community, and must display a reasonable degree of skill and ability. All traditional media is acceptable, although we recommend that artwork be conveyed and displayed in mattes rather than glass-fronted frames for ease of transportation and hanging.
We also have six feet long table-tops to display 3-D art and sculptures. Unusual art forms, art that requires a power supply, art that is large/heavy, or art that may present a risk to WHC attendees will be considered and reviewed on a case-by-case basis.
Panels are $29 CDN or $25 US each up to a maximum of three per artist. Tables are the same, or a pro-rata cost based on the amount of space reserved. A print shop area will also be available.

The convention will take a straight 10% commission on the price of any artwork sold through the Art Show display.
To reserve space or for further information, please contact:
artshow@whc2007.org
Please note that artists who require separate insurance cover must arrange it for themselves prior to the event. World Horror Convention 2007 assumes no responsibility for loss, damage or theft of artwork.
Mail-in artwork will not be accepted, and you must have a full membership to the convention before you reserve any artist panels.
It is also recommended for artists coming from outside Canada who wish to sell their work use the
services of a customs brokerage firm. Please refer
to the customs broker information on the dealers' room page.
ART SHOW RULES
There is a standing jury that reviews all artist submissions each year and accepts or rejects them on a variety of predetermined criteria. The jury operates independently of any given year's WHC Committee, and does not answer to any given year's WHC Committee.
ALL ARTISTS WISHING TO SHOW THEIR WORK AT WHC FOR THE FIRST TIME MUST BE JURIED.
Artists who wish to participate in World Horror Convention Art Shows for the first time must submit their work for
jurying prior to the convention in which they wish to show. Submission does NOT guarantee acceptance.
Artwork should be of general interest to the horror/dark fantasy community, and must display a reasonable degree of skill and ability. All traditional media is acceptable; unusual art forms, art that requires a power supply, art that is large/heavy, or art that may present a risk to WHC attendees will be considered and reviewed on a case-by-case basis. Acceptance into the Art Show puts the artist under absolutely no obligation. If an accepted artist decides not to show, they may simply not register for any World Horror Convention.
Artists need only be juried ONCE. After being passed, artists are welcome to show at any WHC Art Show in the future without going through the jury process again.
THREE WAYS TO SUBMIT YOUR ART
1. E-mail a link to your images, website or online gallery to contact@ifdpublishing.com. THIS IS THE PREFERRED METHOD. Please make sure your links are accurate and up-to-date—dead links will not be investigated.
2. E-mail no less than three (3) and no more than ten (10) image files to contact@ifdpublishing.com. Image files should be no larger than 600 pixels in width or height, 72 dpi, and should not exceed 150K each. .GIF, .JPG, .TIF, .PNG, .PSD or .EPS files are all acceptable. Images may also be sent as a .ZIP or .SIT file. If you send a virus with your images, you will not be included in the show. So be careful. PLEASE NOTE: Mac users: Make sure your files have the proper .XXX file extension.
3. If you need to send actual, physical examples of your work, please e-mail contact@ifdpublishing.com for instructions.
When sending e-mail, please be sure to indicate the convention about which you are inquiring (World Horror Convention, Toronto, 2007).
