The main convention hotel is the Royal Albion Hotel, opposite Brighton's iconic Palace Pier on the seafront. A private home from the mid-1700s until the early 19th century, the elegant four-storey exterior underwent major renovation in 2009. The present Royal Albion Hotel actually comprises a number of different edifices, some of which are Grade II* listed, that have been combined over the years into a single structure full of meandering corridors and perplexing staircases.
Although the rooms compare favourably with many of Brighton's other seafront hotels, there is no doubt that their air of faded grandeur could do with a major upgrade, and this is reflected in the price they are offering to attendees of the convention. We have reserved all the suitable rooms in the Royal Albion Hotel, which of course cannot be beaten for location or convenience for those attending the event. Rooms include tea- and coffee-making facilities, direct-dial telephone, iron, radio, safe deposit box, hairdryer and satellite TV. Many rooms also feature Spa baths and Sea Views. Coaches from London arrive immediately outside the back of the Royal Albion Hotel.
The Royal Albion Hotel has an on-site dining room, Jenny's Restaurant, which serves traditional English dishes, while the modern Pavilion Bar features views of Brighton's Victorian Promenade and offers light snacks and a wide selection of drinks at very reasonable prices. An elevator, free Wi-Fi in public areas, currency exchange, room service and a 24-hour front desk are all available. All major credit cards are accepted.
