For those who want modern sophistication, and don't mind a fifteen-minute walk along the seafront (or a few minutes' cab ride) to the convention, there is the Ramada Brighton, which offers a blend of 19th century elegance and modern décor.
Built in 1864, the Grade II* listed hotel is situated directly opposite Brighton's beach and promenade and has stuccoed Regency frontage, an original Regency staircase, and original mirrors and chandeliers. With contemporary walnut and mahogany furniture and muted fabrics, Standard rooms are equipped with fluffy white duvets, flat-screen LCD TVs and modern bathrooms well stocked with toiletries for your use. Each room also has complimentary tea- and coffee-making facilities. Wi-Fi is available for a small charge in public areas. There is cable internet connection in the rooms, for which a charge is made. The Ramada Brighton has the ground floor Arts Restaurant and lounge serving drinks, international cuisine and light snacks. For those with mobility impairment, the hotel is well appointed, with lift access from the car park and specially adapted bedrooms. Parking is available for 40 cars (chargeable) on a first-come basis.
