Fascinating two-hour documentary about Cortlandt Hull's unique museum of Hollywood Horrors and the people and films that inspired it.

Joe R. Lansdale introduces Masters of Horror: Incident On and Off a Mountain Road
(14A) (USA, 2005).
Dir: Don Coscarelli. With: Bree Turner, Angus Scrimm, John De Santis, Ethan Embrey. IDT Entertainment/Nice Guy Productions/Showtime Networks.
Based on the short story by Joe R. Lansdale, when a woman's (Turner) car breaks down on a deserted Oregon road, she encounters a monstrous backwoods psycho (De Santis) and a deadly game of cat-and-mouse ensues.

Edgar Allan Poe's The Pit and the Pendulum

"Presented" by the legendary Ray Harryhausen, who co-executive produced with Fred Fuchs (Bram Stoker's Dracula), this seven-minute stop-motion animation short is based on the classic 1842 story by Poe, about a man imprisoned by the Spanish Inquisition.

Ron McGillvray introduces The Storm (PG) (Canada, 2006).
Dir: Jeff Radbourne. With: Sydney Cunningham, James McGillvray, James Cross. CellarDwellerProjects.
Writer/producer Ron McGillvray introduces this six minute short about a woman (Cunningham) who is awakened in the middle of the night by a storm and discovers that both her husband and son are missing.

The Frolic (PG) (USA, 2006).
Dir: Jacob Cooney. With: Michael Reilly Burke, Maury Sterling, Jennifer Aspen, Kailey Swanson. Fierce Friend LLC/Wonder Entertainment.
Chilling short film based on the classic story by Thomas Ligotti (who also coscripted), in which a psychiatrist's family is menaced by a creepy, child-abducting "John Doe".

Peter Atkins introduces Hellbound: Hellraiser II
(R) (UK, 1988).
Dir: Tony Randel. With: Clare Higgins, Ashley Laurence, Kenneth Cranham, Doug Bradley. New World Pictures/Cinemarque Entertainment/Troopstar.
Scriptwriter Peter Atkins introduces his first sequel to Clive Barker's classic Hellraiser (1987), in which the story picks up only hours after the original as Cranham's mad doctor becomes a new Cenobite.

Mark Steensland introduces Lovecraft's Pillow (PG)
(USA, 2006).
Dir: Mark Steensland. With: Shannon Solo, Christine Mangone, Gregg Ropp, Scott Frisina. Room 237/TKO Productions.
Scripted by horror writer Rick Hautala, "from a suggestion by Stephen King". A would-be horror author (Solo)—who's dream is to sell to Cemetery Dance magazine!—discovers in the window of a local pawn shop the actual pillow that H.P. Lovecraft slept on. However, when he takes it home to use as inspiration, it has a horrific effect on his wife (Mangone).

Sucker (PG) (USA, 2006).

A creepy guy (Solo again) adducts an innocent young girl (Jones) off the street and drives her to secluded woodland, where a supernatural surprise is awaiting him . . .

Low budget psychological horror thriller in which a psychiatrist (Stevens) puts on an ancient mask and "sees" weird hooded figures and a woman being sacrificed. Viewers will be instructed to "Put the mask on!" to witness three imaginative nightmare sequences in anaglyphic 3-D (limited number of glasses available, please return afterwards).

Early stalk 'n' slash thriller from Canada that pioneered many themes that later became clichés of the genre. A group of girls in a sorority house are menaced by a psycho killer at Christmas. Check out that classy cast!

Shaun Kurtz introduces Chill (R)
(USA, 2006).
Dir: Serge Rodnunsky. With: James Russo, Thomas Calabro, Ashley Laurence, Shaun Kurtz. Rojak Films/Chill Productions.
Inspired by H.P. Lovecraft's short story 'Cool Air', the mysterious Dr. Munoz (Kurtz) keeps himself alive through occult measures and the flesh harvested from his victims. Both preview screenings of Chill will be introduced by co-star and executive producer Shaun Kurtz.

Screenwriter Peter Atkins introduces this first and best entry in the Wishmaster series. "Presented by Wes Craven", a young girl (Lauren) accidentally releases an evil wishgranting Djinn (Divoff) from an ancient Opal. Watch out for a host of cameos.

Dir: Don Coscerelli. With: Bruce Campbell, Ossie Davis, Ella Joyce, Reggie Bannister. Silver Sphere Corporation/Films We Like.
Based on Joe R. Lansdale's novella, about an aged Elvis Presley (Campbell) and black John F. Kennedy (Davis) battling the eponymous soul-sucking Egyptian mummy (Bob Ivy) in a run-down East Texas nursing home.

Scriptwriter Peter Atkins introduces the third entry in the Hellraiser saga, "presented" by Clive Barker, about a TV reporter (Farrell) who discovers that Pinhead (Bradley) has escaped from Hell and created his own army of pseudo-Cenobite henchmen.
